About Laurie
Not your average therapist, not your average therapy
I’m a licensed LISW-CP therapist, graduate of The University of Michigan, with nearly 30 years of experience (YIKES). I have advanced, in depth training in CBT, ACT, DBT, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Positive Psychology—and I continue to learn something new and amazing from those I help, every damn day.
I’m not a one-size-fits-all kind of therapist. I tailor each session to fit you—your pace, your goals, your mess. Whether you’re untangling anxiety, relationship struggles, or just trying to survive being a good therapist and human, I bring research-backed strategies, deep compassion, and a little well-placed swearing to help move you through your sh*t in a skilled, kind way.
I’m grateful for Laurie’s support in helping me find balance with anxiety and depression. From our first call, she has been professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Her strong communication skills and thoughtful approach have made each session productive and applicable to my daily life. Laurie is always friendly, reliable, and genuinely caring, which has made a stressful time much easier. Her dedication and personalized approach to cognitive behavioral therapy have been more effective than my past therapy experiences.

I don’t do ‘manifesting.’ I do measurable change, with side effects of hope.
